Derrol Nail

Anchor/Reporter with 12 years of broadcast experience

Introduction

Thanks for stopping by my website! My name is Derrol Nail, and I'm a broadcast journalist. Below, you'll find videos of my recent work, and stuff that I find interesting. Thanks for taking the time to check it out!

Currently, I'm a reporter at the Fox O&O station in Orlando, Florida. I live in Cape Canaveral with an adventurous dog name Sophie. We love going to the beach, and spending time with my family and friends. When I'm not passionately working on a story, I enjoy surfing, snowboarding, and playing the guitar and piano.

Montage

  • A brief sample of live reporting and anchoring, as well as breaking news, active live shots, and creative standups.

Reporting

  • Included here are five reports from an outdoor adventure series that I edited down into one single video montage. The first is a video diary of my hike to halfdome. I shot all the video in this report, except when I appear on camera. Next is a whitewater rafting trip on the Kings river. Third, my co-anchor and I take the stick of two fighter jets to do battle over the skies of Southern California. Next, I learn to hanglide in Hollister, and then skydive in Madera. All of these reports were edited by me on Adobe Premiere
